A new Halo book
On the novel front, we had our last story meeting with Eric Nylund, who will almost certainly be delivering a thrilling new Halo novel in the near to mid future. His story outline is fantastic, thrilling stuff and he's already well into the process of writing it. We are in the lucky position of seeing it grow and evolve into what I predict will be another NY Times bestseller.
The funny thing is, 10 to 15 thousand words into the novel, and the hardest few words are the title. Eric is still mulling a few alternatives. We tried to help and Eric said all my suggestions were "interesting." I am glad he appreciated these gems and look forward to seeing which one he for sure picks:
Attack of Awesome
Superalien Space Horrorfiends
Oh Teh Noes!!117
March of the Intellibots
Pure awesomeness. Been waiting ages, let's get more novels and the second volume of the Halo 2 soundtrack out! If it's not released with Halo 2 on Windows Vista I will start getting annoyed.
what do you mean
"this unit approves of eric nyland"???
so have the books been released yet if so plz email the title to my site n let me know i been waitn to long
you people are confuseing me,are you talking about ghosts of onyx or an all new one not yet released?
Halo: Contact Harvest is a science fiction novel by Joseph Staten, set in the Halo universe. Staten is a longtime employee of Bungie Studios, the developer of the Halo video game series. He directed the cut scenes in the video games and is a major contributor to the Halo storyline. The book was released on October 30, 2007, and is the fifth Halo novel, following 2006's Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, which was written by Eric Nylund.
ghosts of onyx ending was weird and john wasnt even in it, but the way kurt died(hate him...)was awesome cant wait too read contact harvest!
have they made aname for the the book yet cause the first comment was like 2 years old and i really want too know the name of it.Also why didnt eric nylund write contact harvest he makes good books.
Ghosts of Onyx is toward the ending of the Halo series. Contact Harvst was about how the Human-Covenant war began, it is basically a 500 or so page flashback. By my calculations the series will end with book 7. Im impatient for book 6 to release and book 5 was delayed a few weeks which pissed me off. I hope book 6 will continue were Ghosts of Onyx left off instead of where Contact Harvest ended
this is stupid the book is selling every where but in WA i have to order it from FL or NY to get it ugh any one know where else i can get the book? and phillip_again the book is called contact harvest if you dident know yeat.
well i think that it was good to give the writer of contact harvest a chance because he was the voice of the grunts in halo so he should like have a chance to play a role in the novels and i think it is cool that he was the authour because of his role in the halo series. but the book was lacking:(
Guys, the book will not folow on from any of the relesed books, it's a whole new series on the forrunners and how they created the flood and how the came to destroy it.
First of all. Hell no the forerunners did NOT create the flood you idiot. The didnt even know what it was nor where it came from-as cortana tells us in the new Halo: Legends film- second they never defeted the flood. They slwhere forced to flee becuase they COULDNT destroy the flood. So instead they killed off any possible food sorce to starve it. And STILL did they fail.
