Well my problem with the game is i don't have the Women(GDI) and the man (NOD) speaking when i'm playing in skirmishes, telling me whats happening. Example.. "Building... Building complete" i don't have them, and it's annoying any ideas?

I'd guess speakers are setup as 5.1 or up, those sounds all play through the centre channel in that configuration.

Command and Conquer wont run on my comp because the time setting is wrong...what the?

yeah I've had problems with the kane edition, whenever the game starts the computer just freezes on a blue screen. it can't be a system problem caus my computer is bang up to date

Well I'm glad some one can get this CNC3 game to work. I'm playing along in a Skirmish and it freezes and pretty much crashes the computer. I get this...

I am able to play for about 8 minutes, everything runs very fluid and crisp. Though every single time it crashes out with the error message "CNC3.dat". Can anyone help me, my computers fast and less than a year old, I've reinstalled it twice, I'm a junkie for this game I need it please help Thanks

Every time I play C&C3 the game crashes at some point in the game and says,

I ssem to having the same problems some of the other guys have. As soon as I click on play the screen reverts to the desktop view and the error msg with the problems with cnc3.dat comes up. Any solutions on this one as yet? thanx

I have the same problem, with vista and xp!

First I thought it was because of vista, this one came with the d3d9.dll error, so I installed Xp again.

I love this game! But the problem with
mine is that it does install but it's

I'm having the same problem as a lot of ppl my game will get to the splash screen then the computer will reboot itself when someone gets an answer to the problem, post it.

well i got the game working just had to wait a bit, but then it just had a cnc3.dat error and closed the game on me. this is just pissing me off, i just wanna squeeze someones face

Well I had the same problem over here, it was driving me nuts. Downloaded every patch and still nothing. I deinstalled all the drivers and reinstalled the ones that came with my graphics card (N6600/TD 256MB)... Still the game crashed. When I tried to install the drivers in expert mode, I saw an extra option: "SiS AGP driver". This option would install an .inf file that could tell Windows how to "talk" to the chipset in the proper way. I thought maybe...just maybe this could work, because it makes alot of sence. The directx error came because it didn't know how to write to a sertain address. IT WORKED!!!! to all people that have this problem: install the SiS AGP driver and your problems might be solved, they sure were for me!!!!!

I downloaded C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, extracted the files with WINRAR and then installed the game... but when I click on the icon to play, the game background screen comes up and then I get the message:

How do I bypass this warning? I know I don't have the CD/DVD because I downloaded the thing, but why doesn't the program realize that I dont have the CD/DVD?

i have 2 laptops, both have problems with command and conquer 3, the first is mine which runs Vista, i try to update to patch 1.05 and it shows a error message, and sends a report to microsoft but the game will run, a little show, but its down to the laptop, and the other is my dads, which runs XP it just meets the specs of the game, but it will shut down after you enter the GDI campain, it has a Intel Graphics card also a friend of mine has the same problem, he has the same graphics card, where as my vista laptop has a ATI Xpress 200M Graphics card, is there any help with this?

My problem seems to be the same. I have the Kane Edition and I run the campaign or skirmish for about 5 minutes then the game crashes and I get the cnc3.dat error. This sucks.

mine installs fine
it shows me the c&c3 loading picture(the small one it shows before going full screen)
then the screen goes black then it gives me a blue screen and it goes away and my comp restarts before i can read it.

I'm having problems just installing i think its because my cd is scratched but when i install it gives me D:\C&C3\Electronic Arts\Command and conquer3\movies\1.0\movieG.big Could not be find please verify the file is there and you can access it.

My Command and Conquer 3: Kane Edition worked fine until I installed a Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT in place of ny BFG 6600 GT OC. Now it just gives the splash screen and just sits there. It does nothing whatsoever but that. I have uninstalled the game and have reinstalled. I will let you know if it helps in my case.

Nope...uninstalling/reinstalling didn't help one bit. Patching didn't help either. I am a bit upset by this as I enjoyed this game in the past. What gives Electronic Arts? Fix your game please or I will buy elsewhere. Oh well...I will now play Dawn of War: Dark Crusade which runs very well with my setup. I WON'T be changing video cards just to play C&C 3, so I guess future purchases may be looking grim for the Command and Conquer franchise. I am sure they don't care though. Take care all.

the problem is not windows or standard user,the problom is just with two core cpus.
i tested the game with all OS on two system a system with a one core cpu and core two due cpu the problem is just cpu

when i try to load up c&c it restarts my comp....any ideas?

hey i bought a C&C3 pirated disc and every time i try installing it and the proses is half way and a message pops up and says "please verify that MovieG.big can be accessed" with it it has two buttons One is "retry" the other is "cancel" wat should i do.

I got kinda the same problem i just bought a new acer laptop its meets all da spec dt game loads up but then windows closes it saying an error occured an this is either through the tutorial or da campaign mode, I read in some other forums dat EA sed the game won't work with laptops.

My kane edition installs correctly. However when I try to run the game using the correct original disk it comes up with an error saying
"could not authenticate disk within time limit. Insert original disk" or words to that effect. I click retry but it does the same though doesnt give me the option to retry this time.

The disk is an original bought from Amazon!! Help please!!

I installed Kane edition and installation went fine. it's just I'm having same problems as other users..I've had the restarts so I updated patch to 1.09 (latest version). that solved the restarts and now i get the dreaded 'direct3d' out of memory during a few mins gameplay. Wtf??
I have Amd Athlon dual 4200, 1 gig RAM DDR2 800mhz, ATI Sapphire X1550 512MB RAM 500+ HD.
I have all latest Direct X installed, Latest Catalyst ATI..everything is up2date!!!
I'm going back in time to company of heroes..set in WW2 and works like a dream..help anyone!!

well, merry christmas ... I got a new Acer dual core T2080 with 2GB ram and I installed the new C&C and added the down loaded patches (a bunch from EA) and when I start it in Vista with the McAfee turned off (nothing else running) it goes from the C&C menu window to a screen with a bunch of notes and counts down then restarts this computer. After reading all the comments above, I think I will return it to Amazon and just play C&C Generals!

It Seems to that ea games is not going to help any of us. I think we need to all e-mail our issues to the better busniess. we get enough people maybe ea games will do something

well mines juzt phkd up.. iv got a brand new HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop with a dedicated 256mb gfx card, 2gigz of ram, dual core 2.0 ghz 800mhz fsb.. vista-32bit, and when i launch the game then the splash screen comes up.. it loads a bit.. and then freezez on the splash screen.. i hav to hold down the power button to restart my laptop.. ctrl, alt, del. dont work, oh and iv got the latest drivers and all that.. anyone else experiencing the same problem?????!!!

Well I had the same problem over here, it was driving me nuts. Downloaded every patch and still nothing. I deinstalled all the drivers and reinstalled the ones that came with my graphics card (N6600/TD 256MB)... Still the game crashed. When I tried to install the drivers in expert mode, I saw an extra option: "SiS AGP driver". This option would install an .inf file that could tell Windows how to "talk" to the chipset in the proper way. I thought maybe...just maybe this could work, because it makes alot of sence. The directx error came because it didn't know how to write to a sertain address. IT WORKED!!!! to all people that have this problem: install the SiS AGP driver and your problems might be solved, they sure were for me!!!!

The SiS AGP driver should only be installed if you have a SiS AGP controller.

I had the same problem - blue screen of death on my Amilo A1650g laptop. Found out C&C3 does not work with the ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 200 drivers the PC comes with. I got the Omega drivers instead (v 3.8.252 which is the last version that supports the graphics card) and now it works great.
