Chancellor's Forces Seek the Catholic Support for
Latest Campaign



BERLIN, Feb. 23 (AP)--A campaign against the
"godless movement" and an appeal for Catholic
support were launched Wednesday by Chancellor
Adolf Hitler's forces. They struck at two of his
formidable opponents in the March 5 elections, the
first at communists and the latter at the allied
Catholic parties.

Meanwhile five more persons were killed and scores
were injured Tuesday night in the incipient civil
war which has been waging since Hitler's rise to
power. This brought the number of deaths in
political clashes since the first of the year,
when Hitler began negotiations for the
chancellorship, to about 70.

A campaign against the "godless movement" was
announced by Bernard Rust, nazi commissioner for
education and culture in Prussia, in an address
Tuesday night before students at the technical
university here. He said the details would be
revealed in the next few days. In his speech
opening the campaign for the reichstag and
Prussian diet elections, Hitler attacked
communists for the spread of atheism.

Churches Establish Bureau to Win Back Worshippers

In Freethinkers Hall , which before the Nazi
resurgence was the national headquarters of the
German Freethinkers League, the Berlin Protestant
church authorities have opened a bureau for advice
to the public in church matters. Its chief object
is to win back former churchgoers and assist those
who have not previously belonged to any religious
congregation in obtaining church membership.

The German Freethinkers League, which was swept
away by the national revolution, was the largest
of such organizations in Germany. It had about
500,000 members on Hitler's outlawing of atheistic
and freethinking groups in Germany in the Spring
of 1933, after the Enabling Act authorizing Hitler
to rule by decree.

The fact is, Hitler was very anti-atheist
and he acted against Atheists brutally the day he became dictator. Atheist organizations were stamped out and Atheist leaders sent to concentration camps.

Its is sad that so much of this information is locked up in hard to access German newspapers of the 30's, and laws the Nazi's
promulgated against Atheism are not readily avaiable in English.

I only wish I spoke German so I could dig more of this out. Atheists were despised
because Hitler was indeed Christian for one.
He himself had left behind an annotated outline of the bible he had written, which can be found on the net. he was no atheist.
And he hated atheists as being a common religious stance among communists.

The enabling act of 1933 which made Hitler
dictator was the death-knell of atheism in Germany for some years.

The fact this is not widely documented and known lets ignoramnt christians rant without fear of contradictions, unfortunately.

think we all know who was responsible for that, the Godless liberals who cannot stand having their immorality shoved back in their ugly face!! The defenders of free thought, the Big Bang theory and evolution, are not only striking out at me, but at all Christians. . Last night, while I was sitting on my front-porch swing, gazing up at Heaven, President Bush appeared to me in a vision. He told me that my work was not yet finished, there were still many liberals who had not yet seen the glory of the coming of the Lord!!

President Bush would not be in the White House right now if God didn't want him there. President Bush was put in a position of leadership in order to wipe the devil's religion of Islam off the face of the Earth, so that the Christian God can fill the world with His message of peace and love. President Bush has stated numerous times that he speakes with God in the Oval Office, he even asked God for military advice before the invasion of Iraq. Modern liberalism is the equivalent of atheism, liberals are in favor of killing babies, raising taxes, teaching evolution, and same sex marriage. Jesus is opposed to all of these horrible things.
